Sticky Rice Ice Cream

First time to try sticky rice ice cream and it was really good! I love sticky rice as it is and having it as an ice cream flavour is a very welcomed idea. Will definitely have it again soon. Adds to my favourite!

Sweet Potato Chips

There are times when I like mixing salty and sweet so for that one afternoon coffee break, I opted for my regular hot chocolate and yes, sweet potato chips with sour cream! My craving was solved!

Crunchy sweet potato chips!

The Bunny Pizza

This was my son’s pizza, a very cute pizza bunny! Unfortunately, he was missing his regular round Margherita pizza which has more sauce than the bunny so we had to order another one. I volunteered to eat the ears which were from really good dough.

Hairy Ice cream

Not the ewww-kind of hairy but yummy! This was the ice cream dessert that came with my son’s meal. It was so cute, he didn’t want to touch it :). I just love the creativity in putting a hair-looking cream on the side. Sooo cute!

Cute vanilla ice cream for my son.

Pork Belly

Because it was Australia Day, I opted for something a bit fancy and filling (as I was already starving at that time). My choice of pork belly with mashed potato with truffle oil was delectable! Paired it with a cold berry-passionfruit mocktail, just perfect!

Delicious pork belly!

Hotpot and Barbeque

On my birthday, I opted for a meaty, warm and of course delicious dinner and this was the outcome. A hotpot - barbeque experience! It was fun being in a restaurant, cooking for ourselves. We did good for our first time (at least no burnt meat). It was an awesome choice!

Homemade American Pancake

These are an all-time favourite. The boys love them so I make them yummy pancakes on a regular basis. Soft but not overly fluffy disks and always perfect with butter and some drizzle of maple syrup! Yum!!!

Uncle Tetsu’s Cheesecake

I’m liking Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecakes! They’re super soft and fluffy unlike the western counterpart. Uncle Tetsu’s is a popular Japanese cheesecake chain which just invaded Sydney. Give it a try. it might be to your liking.

Homemade Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Second try to make these yummy cookies. Although they didn’t turn out to be how I like them, they’re still  quite good and they were an instant hit with boys. So all good then. Will be making some more next time!

Churros Break

Another favourite is the crunchy churros at San Churros Chocolateria. These churros are deep fried and best smothered in melted chocolate! Perfect with coffee or for me dark hot chocolate.

Be Good

Chocolate and coffee break at Chocolateria San Churro is not complete without the complimentary chocolate. And since it’s Christmas time, we got this cute message... Be good or I will text Santa!  No worries, just goodies, no baddies here.

Fried Barramundi

We were at Kreta Ayer in Chatswood and I was starving I ordered a whole fried Barramundi! It was really yummy! Properly fried and served with sauteed onion and okra on top and it also came with hot and spicy cooked shrimp paste. The combination was just awesome, so good!

Uncle Tetsu’s Cheesecake

I saw a video that featured Uncle Tetsu’s cheesecake and I thought I will give it a try. It’s different from the usual as it is fluffy. Never tried a fluffy one before until this one and loved it. It’s best chilled!

Afternoon Tea

After my doctor appointment, I had an ample time for an afternoon tea before picking up my son my school. I opted for a slice of carrot cake which is so yummy; soft, moist and not overly sweet. Paired it with my usual cup of hot chocolate, it was perfect! This makes my wait very relaxing.

Birthday Cake

It was my son's 6th birthday so when we got home from the Gold Coast, I made him a yummy birthday cake. It was a double-layer super moist vanilla cake decorated with buttercream icing and rainbow sprinkles. Delicious cake, at least according to my boys :).

Chinese Food for Dinner

After trying the Greek restaurant, we wanted something Asian the following night so we headed to the Dragon Cove Chinese resto at the Marine Village which just really a few walks from our hotel. Food was also great! We had fried noddles and crispy chicken for our main and we had these (in photo) filling and delicious appetizers: spring rolls, pork dumplings and the best wonton soup I ever had!

Candy Shop At Dreamworld

When my son saw the candy shop at Dreamworld, he couldn't help but run inside. I could understand the excitement! It was a candy and chocolate world! So colourful, sweet-smelling and delightful! It was hard which one to pick!

Yummy Pizza at Dreamworld

I didn't expect great food at a theme park so it was a big surpise. These pizzas were so good! Not salty at all and the yummy mozarella cheese was extra stretchy. I wish I had tabasco sauce with me but even without my tabasco, I almost ate my entire share :).

Greek Food Gold Coast

I miss Greek food a lot! I haven't had it since we came to Australia so I was excited to know that there was a good Greek restaurant near our hotel in the Gold Coast. Glad we made it that night, an awesome Greek dinner with calamaris and souvlaki, complete with garlic bread, feta cheeses and salad. We were so full but still managed to squeezed in creme caramel for dessert!

Bubba's Lunch

My now 6-year-old son, whom I still call bubba had this cute beef burger with chips for his lunch. He was happy with his choice. He was quite serious with tanking up some energy for his swimming later. Good eating + swimming + resting make a great holiday!

Club Sandwich for Lunch

For my lunch, I had the equally filling club sandwich with chips! Quite a generous serving for a petite lady like me :).  It was good food! Love my view of the pool while eating and the comfortable heat made the food more appetizing!

Fish and Chips

Fish and chips meal is always perfect when you're close to the water so hubby settled for this sumptuous lunch. The delicious salad was an awesome complement to the greasy food then just had to give it a fruity smoothie finish!

Fruit Smoothies

Upon arrival at our hotel in the Gold Coast, we settled to have a lunch by the pool side. It was hot enough to have some cold drinks so we got ourselves the yummy mango and strawberry smoothies. Lunch was great, it was almost tropical-like!

Tower Desserts

The good thing with buffet is you get to try every food available including desserts. On hubby's birthday this year, we had buffet lunch at the Sydney Tower. There were a lot of choices so it was hard. I could only eat a few though so I had to choose carefully. Here I got sago, pavlova bite and a nutty square dessert.

Crispy Chicken

Whenever I don't have much appetite but still need to eat rice, this crispy chicken with rice is always the top choice. I enjoy the crispy skin most dipped in hot chili sauce. It comes with a few tomato and cucumber slices which are perfect appetizers.

Chocolatey Waffle with Fruits

My family's favourite at Guylian cafe is their waffle served with melted chocolate for drizzling, ice cream and some assorted fresh fruits. The plate is colourful and mouth- watering! They were all gone in just a few second!

Vanilla Pudding

As my son loves most food vanilla-flavoured, it was  expected he would ask for this vanilla pudding with some sliced strawberries on top and drizzled with strawberry sauce. Pudding was okay but sauce somewhat reminded me of cough medicine. Surprisingly, my boy loves it!!

Best Pork Buns

One of my family's favourite to order at Ippudo is their super delicious pork buns! A slice of well-cooked, soft, savoury pork inside super soft bun! Definitely, a must-try! Kids love it too!

Strawberry & Chocolate

Another temptation from Max Brenner cafe is this strawberry dip and it's obvious as to why. Strawberries are fresh and the dipping chocolate is so good, everything melts together in your mouth!

Warming up This Winter

I don't like getting cold so winter is my least favourite season. Sydney's winter is not that bad though and I'm surrounded with some good chocolate cafes for my supply of dark hot chocolate whenever I needed a cuppa. This yummy-looking one is from Max Brenner.
