Cassava Fries

The last time we were in Fiji, the resort didn't have cassava fries in their menu yet. It was new and we were eager to try them. Glad we did because they were really so good! They were more filling than potato fries and lease greasy too. Just perfect combination with our grilled reef fish!

Local Reef Fish

When it comes to food, what I really enjoyed most during our recent Fiji holiday was my lunch of grilled local reef fish. It came with some greens and colourful Fijian lime and orange fillet, sweet papaya and avocado. It was always sooo good! So good that I had it for lunch for a couple of days!

Quenching Tropical Drink

What beats the heat in the tropics other than diving into the cool water? Of course the cold drinks! Pick what you want but my favourite was the cold guava drink I always had with my fish. The taste of the tropics indeed!

Continental Breakfast

For my hubby, a continental breakfast in a tropical place is still nice although not necessary. I must admit his choice of croissant and crackers with cheese looked mouth-watering as well. Having several choices in food during a holiday is a holiday itself!

Fijian Local Fruits

My breakfast wasn't complete without this delight: a plate of Fijian local fruits! So sweet, juicy and above all, nutritious! I specially love the distinctive taste of their papaya and their very satisfying pineapple that even the hard part in the middle is edible!

Dessert Options

What's better than ending the day by confusing yourself which dessert to eat? Or maybe let's leave out the confusing part and just try them all! A much better option I guess. My Fijian escape was never complete without ending the day with lots of dessert. Yum!
